Antrim and Newtownabbey Loneliness Network arranged by our council helps to tackle loneliness
I believe this is the third round we had this activity in Castle Mall, has been to the previous one and this one myself, it really helps to deal with loneliness and isolation issues, especially for people living alone and do not have access to family dinners, friends or other acquaintances such as others in the society.
It is a great place for people to talk and learn more about the members of our community. I would like to thank to all for your vision and collaboration to make the connected cafe project. Preventing loneliness is impossible sometimes and we end up being isolated, most recently during Covid I have seen people more deeply understand how lonely people live and what they need to tackle to survive. This is a subject mostly ignored but we all need to address the health and social care needs of our local population to make a real impact.
