Barrow-in-Furness Borough tuned into the best way to help people through Warm Spots Project in cold months
I have realized that our council went a step ahead to help the vulnerable and in need during the colder months by providing warm spots, and working in social care I am aware some pensioner has been experiencing difficulty managing their energy bills and that was concerning. The council managed a project for warm spots that allowed people to socialize, not feel isolated, and get warm additional relief from manageable energy bills was also very supportive during the colder months. I desperately wish there was no need for it in our borough or anywhere else, but living crisis hit very badly everyone and this was an exemplary support our local authority offered, definitely deserves a 5 star for launched grant schemes and the warm spots project.
