Beggers all around the district!
I am so furious with many beggars facing all residents and using these cardboards to ask for money. I informed the council and the police but nobody has removed them from the streets. Feeling unsafe walking towards these people is unjust to us and our council needs to do more to provide clean & safe streets for all the residents. There had been tactfully an increase in the number of beggars on the street. Undeniable this is an issue in the whole town centre and I would like this to be cleared asap.
I do not believe these people are homeless either because they disappear after a certain time in the evening, have seen some of them on public transport meaning that they travel from elsewhere, why should it be our problem if they are not homeless in Maldon District? I need answers to these and would like to see the council planning to take action as a matter of urgency.
