Brilliant Positive Ageing Roadshows making real impact on elderly people's lives
I have a neighbour who is 73 and the lady had been living alone since her husband passed away, having a conversation with her about 2 weeks ago made me also informed about the positive ageing roadshows that the council organises and how impactful it is on our elderly community.
It helps to maintain mental well-being by encouraging them to keep active, keep connected to people in the neighbourhood, keep learning and notice the changes to inform others for their safety. After the Covid19 pandemic, I believe we all became more aware of the implications elderly members of our community go through as part of their daily life. Yet alone the impacts of cost of living crises only add to the problems being experienced, which undoubtedly seem to get worse in the coming month. However, we should all be considerate to help and be aware of elders in the neighbourhood but the council took steps to organize this roadshow and also encourages all to take part as responsible residents.
