Derelict Building will be under regeneration project for renewed facilities for residents.

I am pleased to hear about the acquisition of the derelict former Heanor Grammar School in support of the Future High Streets project that will see the listed Grammar School building restored and repurposed as mixed-use development, with some work and business space, as well as community facilities for local residents like us to use. It was in a horrible state and raised concerns from all of the residents. John McCabe and Katie Simpson have made great explanations about the concerns of the new development in the meeting at Somercotes Parish Hall on 4 September, however, I am happy overall that the council takes on regenerating our town as a priority and good use of funds and space for residents benefit.
